Another high idle question.

Car: 91 camaro RS, 87 T/A
Engine: 350 TBI, 305 TPI
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 4th Gen 3.42/BW 3.45
Another high idle question.
Well car is a 91 RS, 305 TBI with a high flow cat and a 3 inch exhaust. Sometimes the car idles high, around 1500-1700 and sometimes it doesnt. I dont hear any vac leaks and i have checked for them numerous times. Also the car tends to burn oil, but again, only sometimes. The usual cause of this would be a gasket somewhere correct? and what can i do to correct my idle problem?
