I would get a new cap and rotor. Get the gold plated ones. They will last longer and they conduct way better. Also get some new wires and plugs use either Ac Delco or Bosh Platnums. also run some Seafoam thrugh you tank. It schould help your Ta A LOT. Im running Bosh Gold plated cap and rotor. Accel Wires (Red wires) and bosh platnums. but before i put the plugs and wires on i ran some seafoam thrugh my car. Try that im pretty shure the gap on hat car is .035

It's just a brand name for different automotive "cleaning" chemicals. I prefer Techron when it comes to fuel system cleaning.

I have the exact problem you describe. Sometimes if it's warm, it will fire with the first bump of the starter but not enough to stay running. You have to crank it for a few seconds and it's fine. If you give it gas like my wife did after it didn't start, it will flood out. I've rebuilt the carb, set the MCS to 30 and replaced o2 sensor, cap, rotor, and wires. Car performs well and gets good gas mileage, but does smell a little rich when idling. When the car is cold, I set the choke and can usually crank the car with only a bump of the starter.
