backfiring thru carb...
I think my valves are lashed too tight. Will that cause backfire thru the carb?

Yes
If an intake valve is hung open when a cyl fires, it will light off the entire A/F charge inside the intake manifold.

Sofa nailed it. It shoots like a 2 foot flame out the carb lol. I'll adjust 'em.
