Question about the flywheel

I am pretty sure that I need a new starter, I will turn the key and it will clunk and nothing more and then at other times it will clunk but then slowly start, and sometimes it will start.

Anywho, I need to know if anyone has an idea of the amount of teeth on my flywheel so I can order a new one.

I searched through a lot of threads and saw that our thirdgens come stock with a 153 and I am sure that is what mine is most likely but heres the scoop.....my car has a 5.7 350 from a 1991 Caprice cop car. Does anyone know if the teeth on the flywheel are still at 153? Much help would be appreciated.

Re: Question about the flywheel

Ok, I just went ahead and orderd a starter, I want it to be here so Monday I can put it on because I have only till wedensday to get a free emissions again because I failed. Well, if this is even the problem.

I ended up buying this.. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

I researched it and it says it will work for both the camaro and the caprice with either a 168 or a 153 flywheel, so I should be fine right?
