XR264HR-12 on 305

Hi,
I'm building 305 engine. It has hydraulic-roller cam from stock.
I'm looking on XR264HR-12 from comp cams
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...8&autoview=sku
My question is: Can stock lifters and pushrods accept this cam?
(springs have been changed to double, and rockers are aluminium with 1.5 ratio)
Thanks

Stock lifters, yes.

Stock push rods, I guess that depends on your definition of "accept". They should "fit", whether optimum or not might be a different matter though; but I would expect long-term problems with them due to their overall weenie and inadequate construction. As cheep as they are, I'd recommend getting better ones.

before you start the engine rotate it to make sure the valve retainers do not hit the guide bosses

I would say verify valve travel before you finish putting the heads together. You'll want at least .555" travel on the exhaust and .548" on the intake.

Having the heads modified for postive-type stem seals is the easiest way to get that travel.

I assume you're planning on new aftermarket valve springs. If not, do it now. And retainers is also a good idea.
