gotta go faster

My first camaro since 1970. Been a corvette guy, shame on me. Here are my questions. I am starting with a 91 rs that was cloned into a z. Bought the car for 300. Needed an intake but the car was loved by someone at one time. So I have a 305 with a tbi. I couldnt decide if I wanted an LS1 or an L98. As luck would have it I bought the complete tpi set up on ebay for 200. It was suppose to be for an 92 but it came with a maf. No biggie. How to tell which year this set up came off? Which heads will work the best? What cam profile works well. Who can supply me with a prom? Of course Ill need a vacuum diagram I may keep this tpi for a c-3 and still go with a LS1 and carb it. I also bought a disc posi unit and am planning on a rebuild of the 700r4 unless I get going with the LS1. I ve had to many opti spark troubles to consider an LT1. any help would be great.

I dont want to get crazy just slighty nuts. This will be my summer car. I want the car to kick me in the pants when I want it to but I want it to behave I want it to behave. In other words driveable mostly but mean when it needs to be.
