I have a Firebird from 92 3.1 V6.When I'm starting my car (runs nice) it starts making a strange (chirping, squealing) noise (passenger side) after a few seconds. There is also some white smoke.After about 30 sec (1min?) the noise goes away and the smoke disappears. When warm the car runs nice, no remarks so far (not sure because I haven't driven the car a lot lately).I don't now if the 2 items are related but I can figure out where the noise is coming from...but I'm not an expert...Can anybody help me out? Thx!

 

The white smoke is probably normal condensation burn-off and the squealing is probably a belt that needs to be tightened or replaced.

 

Thanks for your feedback. But last weekend I was trying to locate the noise and it's not the belt. I think is is coming from the digital EGR valve (or somewhere in that arrea). Is that possible? It sounds like an alarm going off or an old doorbell....
After a few minutes is it less but you can still hear it sometimes. Should I order a new EGR valve?
