Arrrg My motor dies every time.....
Hey guys I have a 1991 firebird with a 305 (automatic tranny) and every time I slow dont to a stop sign the motor stalls... Then at the turn of a ket starts right up. Idles great not high or any thing? Whats causing this?
The original owner swapped the TPI for a carb setup instead.... Did he **** it up?
Its also shifting funny though too.

my guess is the float in the carb isnt set correctly, so the inertia of the car stopping starves it for fuel.
you may want to have a old school mechanic look at it, the kind that actually has rebuilt a carb and not just witnessed the shade tree mechanics do it once

sounds really simalure to my problem same car but I still have the TPI set up on it. Anyone got any more info on this? I know the thread is old and probably dead but could I get info on how you fixed it or what was the issue?
