i have some kinda knock at 1500 to 3000 but smooth out over 3000. has no lose in power. what could be causing this? i do have roller rocker. could that be causing the nosie?

ok changed oil no matel in it or anything. motor only does it when it hot. used a hose to pin point it and a scope thing. cant pin point it. after running it hard dont get any worse. so any ideas?

 

Loose flexplate or torque converter bolts.

 

also has 30 psi oil in gear warm and driving 55 psi warm. checked flexplate and no cracks. but my torque convert aint all the way to the flexplate its pressing on the starter ring.

 

Sounds like you know what you've got to fix.

 

i fixed that didnt help. but this nosie i find by mistake. no telling how long its made this nosie. just one day i told my gf to get in the car and turn it up 2500 rpm and heard it. i was checking something else. but cant hear it going down the road. just if ur under the hood giving it gas. anyone have anymore idea?

 

That sounds present tense to me.

Sure sounds like something associated with the crank. The sound seems to come from everywhere and nowhere.

What are you using for a damper on the front? How did you check the flexplate for cracks? Are you sure your flexplate to crank bolts are tight? (that one bit me last year)
