L98 Rebuilding Books

Is a good book for ideas on getting more power from L98.

How bout and . All these books seem old so has recent new tech and research made these obselete to a certain extent? If so where can I find this "new" info on building for more power?

Re: L98 Rebuilding Books

don't waste your time or $ with those books.. The books I learned the most on were "How To Build Max Performance Chevy Small Blocks On A Budget"
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

"How to build big inch small blocks"
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

"High Performance Chevy Small Block Cams and Valvetrains"
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

All the other little stuff you can search the board for free and get correct answers. If you are looking to make some good hp #s then get rid of the T.P.I. intake and go with a HSR, Miniram, or an LT-1 style.

Re: L98 Rebuilding Books

They don't only tell you just how to get every last HP out of the engine in books like that - they teach you how everything works, and works together, to get to the desired end result. Books like that teach you how to create an engine combo for yourself with parts that compliment each other, and not work against each other. Books like that are a great idea for someone still learning - I still use them from time to time too.
