Ok my 90 camaro rs 305tbi wont start. It has new battery new alt. the starter wont even click. what is going on. PLEASE HELP!

 

If you're sure all your wiring/connections are tight and corrosion free, my next guess would be the VATS system. When you turn the key on, there's a "security" light in the instrument panel down by the "check engine" light. If the security light is blinking or staying lit up when the key is in the on position, then you have a VATS problem. When VATS is functioning correctly, the security light only lights up for a couple of seconds, then goes off. VERY common problem on 89-up 3rd gens.

 

Hey thanks alot it was my starter solenoid. It was like 20 bucks then for the hole thing it 60 so i installed it and runs good now. But i have had that problem before with the security light before and the VATS system i have no clue about? If it happens agian what should i look for?

I'm having the problem with the security light staying on. If it is a common problem do you know the solution to the problem.

i cleaned the ignition out and now it work fine.
