ok i just installed some slp runners when i started my car up it reves all the way up its crazy i have to shut it off before i blow n e thing what the heck did i do wrong?

 

throttle stuck open? check the cable next to your runners and make sure its not hung up in a bad position cause thatll effect it. make sure its run in the factory route.

 

its not stuck open the cables do feel loose

 

check all the intake gaskets and make sure bolts are tight!

 

Maybe the IAC and ECM needs to relearn the idle from being disconnected?

 

make sure all the bigger vacuum lines are on, like brake booster ect.

 

do i have to switch to bigger lines?

 

you dont need bigger lines, just look for ones you may have broke of left off and double check the gaskets you installed on the runners

 

did you install this on the 91 Z28 thats in your profile? if so, did you get the later style runners? if you installed the pre-89 style you need to put a freeze plug in the little tube on the drivers side runner. i learned that the hard way some years ago.

 

has anyone had this problem b 4 how did you fix it?

 

how do i tell if they are the later style runners or not? yes i installed them on the 91 z28
