Angel valve job
what is a angel valve job? i was talking to some one and they told me to get a 3 angle valve job what exactaly is that and is it worth doing ?

"Angle" = the geometric feature where 2 lines or planes meet

Note in the pics of the valves, that there is only ONE angle; the 45° one that touches the head casting. Imagine that there was another angle on each side of that surface, such that the 45° had a little more "blend" to the back of the valve and to the margin.
Note in the pics of the heads, that they show all 3 angles.
3 angles = factory (the minimum acceptable IMO)
1 angle = typical valves right straight out of the box (as those are), and cheap "rebuilder" regrinds
5 angle = a relatively performance oriented job, designed to allow max flow around the valve at low lifts, due to a smoother radius with no flow-disrupting sharp edges
"Serdi" = a mfr that makes a cutter that cuts a continuous radius in the head; as if, an "infinite # of angles" valve job (there are others, that's just the most common one you see talked about by name)
