Canister to Fuel Tank

I will be passing E-check for the last time this week, and have exciting plans for the car, however, before going crazy and gutting the engine bay, i realized the charcoal canister has a line that runs to the fuel tank to vent. What should I do to properly remove this system so that it vents still or if it's even mandatory? Thank you for your time

Re: Canister to Fuel Tank

nevermind, i realize i am an idiot for not using the search. Read that the car now has a sealed gas cap to complete this cycle and the pre-emission days used vented caps. Sounds like i'm just going to plug the line then use a vented cap; does that sound good?
