Crankshaft Rotate Tool
What's a good tool to use in order to rotate the crankshaft by hand? And does the tool require removing the harmonic balancer...
I am going to replace my valve springs. LB9 engine is still mounted in the car.

5/8 socket and a long handle ratchet if you leave the balancer on. they have sockets to fit the crank if no balancer is in place.

Re: Crankshaft Rotate Tool
DO NOT use the damper bolt to turn the crank, unless you just enjoy repairing broken bolts and stripped threads.
If the damper is installed, use one like this. If the damper is not installed, use one like this.
Note that the SUM of those 2 tools is less than the price of the Heli-Coil kit to fix a wasted crank; and the one is cheaper even than a new damper bolt.
Some things simply aren't worth half-a$$ing.
