1988 camaro TPI Intermittent spark problem

I have a 1988 Camaro Iroc 5.0 TPI manual transmission.
Here’s the problem; car runs fine but when I shut it off and come back awhile later to start it will not start. Ok, then next day it starts fine and the car runs fine. Then the whole thing begins again, will start, will not start, seems it likes 24 hours naps.

When it will not start there is no spark from coil to cap.
Changed cap rotor and coil.
Has MSD 6A
Any ideas?
Can someone please help.

This sounds like textbook ignition module problem. Take it out and get it tested at a parts house, or replace it. If it still has problems, remove the MSD 6A and put the ignioion back to stock configuration and see if it's the MSD unit.

First let me say thank you very much for your help.
Ordered the module and it has not come in yet.
I figured no sense in takeing off old module testing it then putting old part back.
So here I sit waiting.

You're quite welcome.
And thanks for replying back. Too many times people never post back if it fixes their problem, leaving future searchers to wonder if this was the solution.
