gas problem

Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73
gas problem
After about 10 mins of it running gas starts poring out of the carbon canister. I unplugged the line from the canister and it still does it. I checked the return line and I think it was swapped with vent line. I replaced the fuel filter. I cant figure out why it is still doing this. Any ideas on what to check?

When is the last time that canister was replaced?
I have seen them go bad.
