ECM reprogramming for cam?

I put this cam into my motor. My question is will my prom have to be reprogrammed? Will any other changes such as an idle speed adjustment or tps adjustment be necessary?

It won't "need" it. That's a fairly mild cam. The benefits would be from the tuning itself, not compensating for the cam change.

The biggest problem is your '85 ECM.

any type of change like that would benefit from prom tuning. it'll probably run alright with a stock tune but definetly better with the proper tune

Re: ECM reprogramming for cam?

About how much does it cost for someone to reprogram a prom for me? Can I just send it out and have it done because I have no clue how to do one or the equipment to do one?
