drivability problems

I am wanting to know if anyone knows why my car is getting harder to start and why it cuts out.If i just go crank it up it'll die right out i can drive off if i have my foot on the gas a lil bit before shifting but when i come to a stop sign i have to switch to nuetral and put my foot on the gas a lil bit.
My car has just over 100,000 miles on it, a broken ypipe where the pipe meets the cat, new cap/rotor, bosch+2's plugs, accel plug wires, pcv valve, with no emissions hooked or or installed. Any Ideas as to whats my problem?
I was reading in one of my books and it states that with the broken ypipe my exhaust is letting in oxygen fooling the 02 sensor the richen my fuel settings
( I do have a replacement ypipe and headers that need to be installed for that though. Could that possible fix my trobules?
Car is getting embarrassing to drive, i mean its cuttin out at lights, i cant backup out of a parking spot w/o it dying, you know.

The O2 sensor isn't involved in starting. An open pipe by the cat won't affect the O2 sensor way back in the exhaust manifold, anyway.

Is the SES light coming on?

What state is your ignition in? Spark plugs? Wires? Cap & rotor? If those aren't fresh, replace them.

The ignition module and coil are known weak players in these cars. Once the stuff above is up to snuff, you may still have an issue.

Or, it could be fuel. Get a fuel pressure gage and find out what your fuel pressure is. Have you replaced the fuel filter recently?

Okay once more, I've replaced less than 800miles ago the cap/rotor(accel), spark plugs(Bosch+2), plug wires(accel 8mm) and changed the fuel filter!

It says oxygen leaks that close to the o2 sensor let oxygen it and tricks the ecm into thinking that the motor is running lean and makes it rich. It says that right in " How to tune and Modify Chevrolet Tuned Port Injection" by Motorcraft Books. I have it right in front of me and trust its research more than your knowledge no disrespect though,

Why haven't you fixed the exhaust yet if you believe them? Do they say the O2 sensor is involved in starting?

My apologies for missing your cap/rotor/plugs/wires statement (I read hundreds of posts a day, sometimes I miss details).

Now, was it doing this 800 miles ago? I've never heard high praises about Bosch plugs, except from Bosch. Although I haven't had problems with them, many people have had issues with Accel components, especially their lower-priced stuff (which I haven't used).

Now, about your coil and module. . .

SES light?????

Fuel pressure?????
