time my lg4
I am looking around for a tanish colored wire witha black line and i can't find one ???? i want to time this car and i cant find it ????? could someone shoot me pics ??????
Re: time my lg4
Look above the ac box, under the hood. you should find it there. Its a longish connector, like maybe 1.5 inches or so. single wire, black connector.

Re: time my lg4
on the 83, you need to disconnect the 4 pin connector to the distributor. the earlier models don't have the single pin bypass

Re: time my lg4
the 4 pin conn is the link between the ecm and the dizzy. the dizzy itself is still a normally powered hei set up. with it unplugged, it will operate normally, just without any timing advance or retard control. set dist. where it needs to be, plug 4 pin back in, reset check engine light, should be good to go.
