Hi, what I am asking is can a ls1 starter be used in a older camaro, I ask this because I read some were that you can but when I put both starters side buy side the bolt patterns are different and the teeth on the gear also look different.

Help with this question would be great!!!!

No. LS parts don't interchange onto older small blocks.

 

Thanks for answer, I did not thing it would fit but my be if it was modified it would but I guess not worth the time. but know I got bigger problem the motor is actually seized, it looks like it threw a rod. Thats what happens when you take a change buying a car that does not start.
