bouncing oil pressure gauge
when i the car idles in park everything is fine driving everything is still fine its when i stop at a light or something the oil pressure gauge bounces rather violently, it only happens when im in drive with the brake on any ideas?

What do you mean by bouncing? Does it read too low with occasional jumps up to what it should read? If your car runs fine and there is no tapping or knocking coming from the engine, it is possible that you might have a bad oil pressure switch, or a bad oil pressure gauge. Does the problem seem to get worse when the has warmed up and has been driving for a whale, or is bad from the beginning. It is not uncommon for oil pressure switches to go bad, and 90% of the time that is the problem. Usually when they start going bad, they start leaking some oil.

car runs fine although it sounds like my lifters are getting bad but like i said before stoped in drive with brake on it bounces goes from zero to about half over and over very fast
