car wont start

i have a 1984 trans am witht he lg4 in it i replaced the starter cause the other one didnt work not it just ticks and some times turns over any suggestions on what it might me ?

battery, gas, fuel pump, fuel filter, disributer cap rotor spark plug plug wires.


do you here the fuel prime when you turn the key but dont start it?

never lisnaed for it the moter doesnt turn over at all i am not really worried aobut getting fuel too the moter yet i want too get it turning over first

check your battery and terminals if youve already replaced your starter

is your replacement starter new, or a pull from another, also did you test the original starter and if so what was the outcome. does the starter engage all the time or stick out?

Ditto the battery terminals.

If possible, check the voltage at the small terminal on the starter solenoid.
