I'm goin this weekend to possibly pick up this car (details in another thread).
Anyway, I'm kind of curious. What makes a Formula a Formula? What is different from the base model, and how is it different from a Trans Am?

I read something about different suspension?

If anyone could go over the differences, that'd be great. I've googled a bunch, and can't seem to come up with anything.

A formula should have a power buldge hood, areo spoiler and 16" aluminum wheels. They don't have the T/A ground affects and the wheels are diff, but are 16 inchers. Other than that I'm not sure. One of VIN digits will tell you the model, but i can't recall which one it is.

I noticed the spoiler, hood, and wheels when I was there...
It also has a really cool graphics package. I like the Formula emblem on the side.

Any other non visual differences?

 

Oh, it'll have a H.O. engine, approx 10 more horses, i think, and a suspension similar to the T/A, and possibly better brakes, not sure though. Formulas are definatly an upgrade to the base birds.
