quick oil psi sending unit ?
Howdy guys. Noticed some leakage coming from the bottom lip of the Oil pressure sending unit. the guage is pegged also so im putting 2 and 2 together and coming to the conclusion the sender is actually leaking and not something dripping onto it...then the ground. I was wondering if I needed to drain the oil etc while doing this. and can it be done with the filter on? thanks guys

The oil pump has to be pumping in order for oil to get to that passage, other than the residual in it. In order for the pump to be pumping, the engine has to be turning.
A little will drip out, but you don't have to drain the oil or remove the filter.

Yup, pretty common for them to leak. Simple to replace, and no, you don't need to drain the oil.
