cold start not ideling

Hi. Im new to this fourm.
I have a 88 gta with a 5.0l tpi and a 5 speed trans.
220kms.
Its original owner...my parents ordered it brand new.

Ok. I know all the things that have been done on this car.maint wise.

everyonce while it throws code 34. mass air flow meter?
in the last few yrs when sometimes when its cold it cranks right up and just dies.
if i step on the gas a bit it keeps goin...then if i take my foot of it dies.
if i keep her goin with my foot once the engine warms up to full oper temp....then it idels and drives fine.
very very strange...
i was reading up....could this be the cold start fuel inj sensor thing?

and if so would it throw a code or no...

like y does it keep ideling maddd low rpms....and intermintent stalling ideling....
mass?
i dont want to buy a 450 new mass and not fix anything....and that cold start sensor is like 150...

pls let me know....

i checked ...0 vacume leaks...
fresh full tune up....
ads superchip....
cat back exhaust and some suspension stuff...and the aerofoil thing...

any input would be appreciated.....

for the last 2 days it wouldnt stay ideling at all in the morn so i took my alero.
thanxs!!
