help, can't pull ignition wire from spark plug

So the shop that rebuilt my motor installed these cheep 7mm ignition wires. I want to replace them with some accell 8.8mm wires, along with an accell cap and rotor. Maybe in the process I will also look at the spark plugs and replace them too. This is in effort to find and occasional miss.
So I have been having a hart time pulling one of the plug wires off of the spark plug. It is the second plug from the back on the driver side. The style of a boot on that wire is a straight boot that is pushed onto the plug. I used the specialized pliers for the removal of plug wires, twisting the boot and pulling at the same time. I have tired to do it from the bottom of the car too. However, the thing will not budge.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am afraid that the plug wire may not have been installed all the way and now it is welded to the plug.

i am the first one to admit that i don't know everything.. but i have never heard of a plug wire 'welding' itself to a plug. i have occasionally come across a wire that is hard to seperate from the plug and what i always do is twist it more and pull it harder.. it will come off. and if you need to i would cut the thing off of there.. you are going to replace the stuff anyway.

He may have meant the plug. The wires will melt and weld themselves to the plug if the plug is not installed tightly. The plug will overheat if it's loose.
If this happens, both parts are junk (toast).
My solution: put a rod on the boot and snap the insulator off of the plug.
It's easy to remove then.
