350 TPI blowing oil out valve covers

Hello fellow motorheads,
Hopefully someone has had the same problem and solved it without a motor! I have an 88 Iroc 350 tpi. I bought it already built. It has a small cam and an Edelbrock intake. The valve covers are a stock style cover. When it is ran hard, it blows oil out of the vents in the valve covers. Could it possibly need an additional pcv valve? Would tall valve covers help? It doesn't smoke at all, so I don't think its a wear issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You, Jason

Re: 350 TPI blowing oil out valve covers

it shouldnt have "vents" on the valve covers
im sure you mean its coming out around the pcv grommet or oil cap grommet

check you oil pressures during reving and idle and post them on here.
im sure all your va;ve cpvers need are baffles, but id just get some chrome baffled tall ones if i were you and see if it help,, if it doesnt at least itll look good
----------
i got a feeling this is carbed for some reason

I guess it's coming from around the oil cap and there is a breather on one side that its blowing out. I'm thinking your right and the valve covers don't have baffles. I'll check it out this weekend and let you know. Its not carbed, still TPI, just aftermarket Edelbrock parts -- suppose to be 375hp.

This usually indicates damaged compression ring/s or piston/s.
Have you done a compression check?
