1954 Chevy Belair w/ strange problem?
Hey everyone,
I just shipped my 1954 Chevy Belair from California to the great and lovely state of New Jersey. Besides the damage the shipper did to my baby it also came rolling off running like crap. The setup is (1406 carb stock, edelbrock intake, 350/350 10 bolt rear with glass packs). all like new.
Ran just fine when it was loaded on the carrier but since i picked it up. It barley idles. When you put it in D or R it starts to get this "lobeing" feeling? It smooths out a bit when driving but not much. I assumed it might have to do with the altitude change maybe? or the long ride of bumps made something rattle loose? but im not sure what else could of happened. Im not even getting that sweet sound from my exhaust. only when i do a very high rev.
I did some carb adjustments but cant seem to solve all the issues. I fix one but the other remains or vise versa. Very frustrating.
If anyone has any suggestions or dialed in settings for this setup for the east coast (if that matters). It would be greatly appreciated. Haven't been able to enjoy my baby since i moved 2 months ago...
Thank you all in advance for any help.

Do you ever get that feeling like you've wandered into the wrong movie?

Maybe try a Dodge Challenger forum, or a Ford truck forum, if you love that feeling of being in the wrong place...

I'll give one bit of advice though-- pick your auto shipper verrrry wisely, and take pictures before it departs.
