high performance distributor cap and rotor and spark plug wires
high performance distributor cap and rotor and spark plug wires
i have a 1991 z28 camaro with an automatic 305 tpi. i have stock spark plug wires and a stock distributor cap and rotor. i was thinking about putting high performance parts for the distributor cap and rotor and spark plug wires. i was wondering if it would increase my horse power and torque if i used high performance parts. I also wanted to know if there were any of these parts that would fit just as good as the stock parts.

"high" performance plugs, wires, cap, rotor will only make your car faster by weight reduction of the drivers wallet... replace them yes... with stock replacements.... they will work great with your stock engine

"high performance" ignition parts are only needed when the rest of your motor falls in that catagory i.e. high compression, nitrous, forced induction...... Re: high performance distributor cap and rotor and spark plug wires
Thanks, I appreciate the input. I was thinking the same thing , but a friend of mine told me he replaced his plug wires, cap, rotor and coil w/ MSD stuff and his car got a little faster and his gas mileage improved too (?). The hi perf stuff is over twice as much though, so I thought I'd throw it out here to you guys that have probably tried that already.

that stuff might seem to make the car faster but... that only means that your old stuff needed to be replaced not that you needed performance ignition components
