Check for power at the neutral safety switch. It goes thru that before it reaches the solenoid. If no power there, check ign switch.
The computer normally powers the fuel pump relay. May need to install a switch to power the relay, or tap into something else that's powered with key on and turned off when key is off to power relay.
The fuel pump is also powered thru an oil press switch (assuming you haven't removed the wiring for it), but you have to build up oil press first. That would be OK for a carbed eng as long as the float bowl nevers empties.
I think I would install a momentary switch (like a push-button possibly), to run the pump a few seconds before starting to fill float bowl/s if needed.

Re: wiring help with motor swap
im doing the same thing you did. im swapping a carbed 350 into a tpi car. i took out all the wiring and such and using a mechical fuel pump. what i think is easiest is running your big battery cable to your starter like on any car. and then putting a push start button to the starter solenoid and using a toggle switch for my tpi fans. i retained all the wiring for lights and interior and it all will work if u took your engine harness out with out cutting those wires but those wires are on the other side of the car.

aight well heres what i did i cut all the wires on the pass. side cuz i thought that was all comp. wires. i left all the ones on drivers side. the lights dont run on the pass side? i have 2 pink wires and a purple wire that are hot and i dont know what they go 2.
