Just sharing an experience I had that might help someone out. My car ran perfect in sunny clear weather. Then one day on a trip it started raining and out of blue (or should I say grey) the car would just die completely like I turned the Key off. A few seconds later it would come to life then die again so on and so on. Next day there was no rain and car ran perfect. Anyways I found than the power lead from the battery to the fuelpump was chaffing at the firewall because the grommet was half out. Some water from the rain was making its way to the exposed wire and intermittantly shorting out. I fixed the wire and grommet and never had anymore problems.
