is there anyone willing to help a noob
im 19 just got on this site a couple days ago and i cant seem to get any advice i have an 84 z and im wondering how i should go about building it up but no one seems to answer me when i ask about certain aspects so what about as a whole or any advice at all whould be appreciated

Good advice. Making sure the car is functioning normally and reliably is absolutely key before making performance enhancements.
Otherwise, as stated, specific questions are easiest to answer as we don't know what your plans are for the car.

its cool im in the same boat, make it reliable as said and then do the suspension and tires, for me though i just mod what i find like my poor braking distance and lack of posi so im putting in a 4th gen rear, just get it runnning right then mod what you find, dont go all out and tear up the motor either, id suggest if you really have your heart on doing the motor, just build another one on the side so you have a reliable mode of transportation while still building your dream car

yep, get the car in running order and build it from the ground up... meaning suspension, tires/brakes, etc. make sure it all is in working order and go from there

thanks for the advice i guess i was just on to late but it is running i know i need to get a carb first because ive aready tried rebuild and it still acts up not to mention id rather have a holly but after that i was thinking just make the care ready to handle about 400 hp and then get a 327 or 350 with at least 375 hp maybe up to 400 depends on price when im ready for it
