Re: starter question?

A loose cable at the starter will not cause the starter to stick. You could have got a bad starter. When it sticks is the starter frewheeling or does it start the vehicle and continue to spin?

Re: starter question?

it will turn the motor once or twice and then the bendix will pop back in the nose cone and continue to spin. the starter gear will not stay engaged to the flywheel. took the starter to advanced and tested good. motor is about 11.0:1

Yea, that's the problem with "rebuilt" auto parts. Hang on to that receipt.

Re: starter question?

I had the same problem with a AZ starter since these starters are a b**** to replace I spent the extra money and got a high torque mini from summit and it works great.
