Fuel line end Flare

I am replacing the fuel lines and I came accross an unanticipated problem. The ends in the engine bay have a recessed flare and I have no idea how to recreate this. I have a double flare tool but can it perform this?

It has a little O-ring at the end of it.

Re: Fuel line end Flare

There is a completely different tool for those kind of flares. I have a big set that does all different kind of line. The kit I have is about $300, but it is the best one out there. www.Devildogtools.com it is the hydraulic one and it is the cats ***. You may have to take it some where if you don't feel like buying the tool.

Re: Fuel line end Flare

Interesting. Is this something a typical garage would have or would I have to go to some specialty place?

Re: Fuel line end Flare

I would think most places would have it. Maybe a bigger dealer vs. a small independant.
