Did someone cut a hole thru the sheetmetal to replace a fuel pump the "easy" way?

Re: smelling fums in my car

A frequent and fun problem is that the exhaust leak is on the top of the pipe, and often that seems to cause a hole to form in the floor. I'd be looking for somewhere where exhaust, fuel, etc is spraying right into your carpet.

Re: smelling fums in my car

I think it's inevitable with these cars. I have all brand new exhaust (headers on back) and I smell it.

Re: smelling fums in my car

I found out that the fumes are coming from the vents. Maybe its leaking near the exhaust manifold.
