Okay so I have always liked the look of the 3rd gen Camaros, only 19 but hey. I recently bought a '92 RS, 3.1 V6, all stock and only 89k miles on it. I love the car and all, but would like better performance out of it. Main concern with gas prices and such low mileage on the car, I dont want to put a bigger engine in it. What's the most wallet friendly way to get a little more speed out of it?

 

Anything? Would new headers and exhaust make a difference worth paying for? Also its an automatic which I plan on changing to standard.

 

id say headers, gears, open element air intake,or another good air intake maybe k&N

 

^ Thats what I was thinking. I put in the K&N air filter of course already and will be putting the intake as well. Headers and Exhaust will be after that.

Any other additions that would make for good improved performance?

not that I care but you can find all the info on quick switches in the sticky on the v6 forum

 

one of the biggest "bang for the buck" things u can do IMO is bigger gears in the back, if you can install urself or with a friend u can get a good set for $150 and u will FEEL that more than most other mods for anything like that little money that price....


just don't go too big or u'll be paying for it every time u buy gas too!
