It's hot out and my A/C doesn't work

When it's hot, you put down the windows, when it's hot and raining, you put on the A/C, and there's my problem. In the winter the heater didn't work, so I shoved a golf Tee in this hose ( http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...r/HPIM1277.jpg ) and my heater worked. So now that it's summer, I turn on the A/C, and it doesn't work, it blows warm air. So naturally I but the hose back, and the A/C still blows warm air, but the vent works. I then come upon the discovery of a line that isn't connected to anything, and I think it goes back into the cabin ( http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...r/HPIM1281.jpg )
Any ideas on what could be wrong, where this line is supposed to go, or what's wrong with the A/C?

Take it to a mechanic and they'll recharge it for a low cost. Theres a recharge valve on the filter dryer. Or you can buy a kit at any auto store.
