Thoughts/opinions on a 383 build
I know these are dumb questions but humor me pls, here's what i got so far forged crank/rods(5.7) afr 195 elimintors (68cc i think), miniram w/ direct port nitrous 150-200 shot in thoery, hydro roller cam dont have numbers yet, and srp pistons -16cc all run off a f.a.s.t efi system. Now my first question is about the c/r will that set up i think ill be at 9.6/1 which seems a little low so i was going to change the pistons and bump the c/r up but im getting mixed opinios about how high i can go and still run safly on pump gas. Im thinking of switching to a -5cc piston which would bring me to something like 10.6, is that too high for 93octane? Also a random one can/should i use a bigger oil pan?

C/R is good for pump gas, may have to add some 104+ octane boost depending on the timing used and definitely you want a bigger oil pan to have plenty in the oil pick-up on turns and hard launches.

octane boost works in theory not in practice as it MIGHT raise your octane 1 true point from 93-94 type of deal not worth it... if it was detonating on 93 it will probably detonate on 94
