IAC confusion
IAC confusion
Ok so I was under the impression that the IAT was the sensor in the air cleaner that made the car idle right....
Well, my car does not have one.
When I went to Autozone, and asked for it
http://www.autozone.com/R,APP417270/...ductDetail.htm
is what I was shown. Now, I remember them beiing fairly small and I KNOW that the plug is only a two prong. That says thats it is a IAC, and I did not think that was it. Just doesnt feel right.
What does the IAC and the IAT do?
EDIT: Is
http://www.autozone.com/R,APP244842/...ductDetail.htm
what I need? Looks a lot more like what I think it should be.

Re: IAC confusion
IAC is the idle air control, IAT is the intake air temp sensor. the iat is the one in the air cleaner to measure the incoming air temperature.
