Need Help!!! No fuel at the injectors
First of it is a 82 z28 CFI. Only mod is a set of hedman shorties.
OK, so I was driving to work and started to accelerate when the motor just stopped, started to come back and then finally died. I took of the air cleaner on the side of the road and cranked the motor and saw nothing coming out of the injectors. I went to work in my other vehicle (after walking back to the house) thinking I had a bad fuel pump.
So, I have a buddy tow me back to the house after work and checked the fuel pressure and found it had 12 psi. I have fuel at both tbi inlets but nothing comes out of the injectors. Pressure stays up with out the key on after it builds up and the pump doesn't stay running, I hear it for a second or two then it stops. Whats the deal here? Both injectors have 1.2 ohms of resistance which I believe is good. No burnt wires as I traced the wires all the way under the dash. What could be the deal here.
Does the CFI have only 1 pressure regulator or 2. 2 right? I don't think both of them would have **** at the exact same time. I checked the tbi fuses and both are good, I even swapped the with other fuses and still nothing.
Please help, my wife will need the other vehicle on monday and I need to get the car fixed.
**********************************disregard this post, i fixed it***********************
I case anyone is doing a search though, the fix was pushing the connector that tells the injectors when to fire back into the distributor. it wiggled out I guess but she is running. Now, on the the timing problem, but that is in another thread!!
