My gas gauge isnt working it just says its full all the time. how do i fix that? and also i have a 89 v8 and we all know those are gas sukers. but when i go to the gas station and fill up the gas nozzle clicks really early like it is all the way full but i know its not can any 1 help me with this?

 

Not sure if there is a fuse to check, but it sounds like your fuel sending unit is faulty. Pain in the nuts to replace yourself but if you are good with tools you can do it!!

 

Reading full all the time indicates the connection is open between the dash and the sender, or the sender is bad. You want to find the sender wire at the tank (sorry, I don't have the schematics here) and ground it. If the gauge goes to E, it's sender. It could also be your tank isn't grounded.
