performance mods ?

Ok i got my car finally running right not its time for some mods.So i need some help from some experienced members. My car is an 89 GTA 350 and i want to put headers on it.My question is shorty or full length? Is there really a difference between the 2?My next question is intakes.I can buy an HSR for around $300 or a mini ram for $1000.0o plus.Is the mini ram that much better of an intake or should i save my money and go with the hsr and get better cylinder heads?

Shorties are fine for a mildly modded engine. Long tubes are hard to get on the car because of ground clearance. Possible but you'd need to have someone who really knows what they're doing.

As for intakes, I say go with an HSR and get heads. Especially if you can get it all for around $300.

Full length is typically used on a different style of car then ours. It makes routing a single exhaust more difficult typically.

Hooker headers and y-pipe are the more common choice in your shoes, and it's a good choice! Go for that first, about $500+ when the smoke clears though.

mini-ram and HSR are both in the $300 range IIRC (just for intake). You might be looking at a full stand-alone kit for $1000 or something?

Go headers and full length exhaust all the way to the tailpipe. If you still have money this summer, get a cold air intake, and keep gas in the car. That last one will be the most expensive
