What kind of Fuel pump do I need?

I have a TPI conversion project going on, on my 87 Camaro 305 carbed engine.

I have bought a complete TPI setup and all the wiring harness I need.
also the ECM is on my shopping list.

I know I need to change out my fuel pump. What kind of pump should I buy.

I have 2 pumps I have been looking on.

190LPH In-tank Fuel pump

255LPH in-tank Fuel pump

I know the pump on 190LPH is more than big enough now for what i am converting my engine to. But I was thinking of in the later time, mayby I will do a little bit performance and then I need to change again to a bigger one.

My main question is: What happens if I buy this 255LPH fuel pump now on my car and just have a stock setup?..

Would that be wrong?...Better with the 190LPH pump mayby??..

Excess volume will be returned to the tank by the pressure regulator.

Re: What kind of Fuel pump do I need?

It all depends on what you want to do, i just went through this and decided since i wasnt going to make my car a monster or anything, i would get a 190, i got a walbro 190 from a guy recomended to me on here, cost me 83$ and got it in 3 days. He also sells the walbro 255, for around 100$ i think, comes with the harness and everything. I was told that unless i was going to be doing anything radical with my car, a 190 would be more than sufficent. If you know what you want to do to the car in the future, than we could make a suggestion of getting the 255. If there is any doubt to what your going to be doing look at it this way, you only want to drop that tank once.
