BUCKS at low torque

A solution to the following issue (which pizzez me off) continues to elude us:

- Car bucks at low torque but the problem continues at higher rpm but is somewhat masked.
- Acts like its loading up or starving – no smoke
- Perfect at idle – touch the peddle & it whacks out
- Has power but not smooth power
- Odd odor at exhaust

Vehicle: 1988 IROC-Z, 5.0 tpi, 5 spd. The car sat in my garage +/- 4 years without any starts.

What’s been done
- Fuel tank drained & wiped.
- New: Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Air Filer, Plugs, MAF, CTS.

What’s been checked:
- Plug Wires, Cap, Rotar,
- Vacuum,
- TPS (changed it & it got worse so re-installed orig),
- Fuel Pressure within spec.
- No error codes

Any ideas or suggestions will be most appreciated

I had a similar problem. It turned a few of the injectors quite working.

Re: BUCKS at low torque

I've this issue with my ride for over a year. After 4 mechanics failed to find the problem, I took her to a local Chevy dealer and they have diagnosed the problem. IT'S WHAT 89RS_82Z SAID IT WAS 9 MONTHS AGO. A bad EGR valve.

Dang, I wish you would open a shop over here. I'd be your loyal customer.
