Engine Brackets, Braces, and Spacers

Hi, I have a 1992 Camaro RS 3.1 V6 and I was wondering if anyone had a link that shows diagrams of engine brackets and braces better than my Haynes and Chiltons manual does? Or could someone post photos of their V6 that shows where the all the brackets bolt to? My motor is fuel-injected by the way, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I really would appreciate any help you can give.

Not sure what you mean by "brackets & bracers"...

Can you clarify?

Re: Engine Brackets, Braces, and Spacers

Sorry, I was tired as hell when I wrote this. What I mean is different brackets hold many parts on the engine. For example, my alternator is not bolted directly on the engine, it uses a bracket to hold it on as well as providing a mount for the serpentine belt tensioner. I am stuck because I have the entire engine togther and I have 2 brackets and 5 bolts left.

Do you need other pics-diagrams? If so, of what?

Re: Engine Brackets, Braces, and Spacers

Yes I do. I have one funny shaped bracket left that looks like a twisted Y shape with three bolt holes. Also, If you have a diagram of all the vacuum lines under the hood, it would be a great help. Thanks again, you have been the most resourceful person yet.

I try to do my best. I will try to find the bracket you are talking about.

Vacuum lines might be a problem.

Any time I deal with a new type of engine I take alot of pics before I tear it down and mark lines. No offense.

None taken. I labeled some of them and missed 2 or 3 because I was in a hurry.

A picture of the part would help.

Welcome to TGO, Bradley.

Looks like they came from a GM Parts and Illustration Catalogue.
