Just a few Questions guys.
Just a few Questions guys.
Im building a new 305 for my 89 Camaro. I have a good set of 350 vortec heads that I want to put on the engine. The engine will have stock crank, rods, and pistons. My question is will the vortec heads hurt my compression or make it better. I havnt decided on a cam yet, but I want a roller cam. I have a barry grant 625cfm 4 barrel carb for it, and full size headers. I wanted a car that ran on pump gas and had alittle bit of nuts. Ill use the car for bracket racing as well. So any input is much appreciated.

If your compression is too high, the 350 Vortecs will help.
If your compression is just right, the 350 Vortecs will hurt it.
