Alternator mounting problems

Alright guys. I pulled a 305 out of my 87 Bird. I'm putting in a rebuilt 350 because that's what originally was supposed to be in the car. I'm in the process of throwing the accessories back on the motor and I cannot figure out for the life of me how the hell this alternator is supposed to be held on. I know it goes on the passenger side of the block but I'm not sure which brackets are used.

I'm asking for some pictures if anybody can supply them to me so I can see what brackets are used for this damn thing. I'm putting the motor in next Saturday and I need to get this thing back together this week.

I'm assuming a 305 or a 350 setup will be the same so I'm sure that doesn't matter for the pictures.

FYI, the AIR pump and the A/C will be gone.

Thanks in advance guys.

There is a tube-like spacer that bolts to the back of the alternator, the long bolt goes through the bracket that bolts to the water pump, that spacer, and into the front of the head.

Re: Alternator mounting problems

Where does the tensioner bracket come into play?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that this is not a serpentine belt system. Well it's got a serpentine belt but also has v-belts.

Also, where at on the water pump does that bolt go through, I know which one you're talking about too, it's that really long one right?
