Change connector or change alternator?

Change connector or change alternator?
The first picture shows a connector that looks like it belongs on the alternator, am i right?
Iff so, i have a diffrend alternator on my car.
Can i just cut off the connecor that doesnt fit and replace it with one that fits? (I still have that one)
Or wont that work?

its a pretty simple thing, either replace the ALt for that connector or cut n add in the new one..Alt still gonna work as normal

I wasn't sure iff it was the alternator connector in the first place.
But thanks for your answer, i will cut of this one and replace it with the one that fits!
