Couple motor issues..help!?

hey guys I got a 82 T/A original 305 car, now has a 350. from the 80's? not sure exact year anyways. Im not good with motors but ive done alot, the car sat for 8 years...I got it running. Did a oil change with lucas, new plugs and accel wires, adjuested rockers and did a few other things... the only thing the motor seems to shake at a idle like its cammed? but Im 99 percent sure its not.. the other thing I think my water pumps going... it seems to be making a clanking sound like the bearings letting go..but i could be wrong. when I rev it up it gets worse. any help would be appreciated, Thanks guys.

Is a carb or crossfire injection? One thought that comes to mind is vacuum leaks. Check the intake bolts to make sure they are tight. Check the vacuum lines going to the power brake booster to make sure they are not brittle or loose. Also check the vacuum lines to the pcv valve and the cruise control system up in front of the engine bay on the driver side. Those are usually pretty dry and leak a lot of vacuum.

Is the egr free and loose so that you can reach under and move the diaphram up and down? They sometimes get frozen and can wreak havoc on an idle.

Maybe also inspect your harmonic balancer - sometimes the rubber starts to separate from the hub when it gets worn and throw the engine balance off.

Did you check timing? Could your distributor gear be exessively worn, or the timing chain so loose it jumped a tooth?

If carburated is the choke stuck?

Just some thoughts to get you started. There are probably more thoughts out there.
